Heading 4
Alongside her sleep consulting work, Emmerson is also completing her qualification as a paramedic, giving her a unique understanding of infant and paediatric wellbeing, safety, and family dynamics. Her background brings not only deep empathy, but also a calm, capable presence in supporting families through one of the most tender, overwhelming, and beautiful seasons of parenthood. Emmerson’s approach is grounded in warmth, reassurance, and collaboration. She believes every child is unique, and so is every family, and her goal is to create sleep solutions that feel aligned, sustainable, and straightforward.
She can’t wait to support you throughout this journey.
Sway Sleep.
Emmerson's journey with little ones began early — at just 15, she started working with babies and young children, driven by a love that had been there since she was a little girl herself. Whenever she attended a family event or gathering, you could always find her cuddled up with the youngest baby in the room.
What started as casual babysitting for neighbours and family friends soon grew into a thriving client base. Emmerson spent her teenage years and early adulthood caring for children of all ages, developing a deep understanding of their needs and rhythms.
Her passion for early childhood only strengthened through her work in childcare, where she gained hands-on experience supporting development and routines in a structured setting. She later transitioned into nannying — working closely with families, including those with newborns and multiples, and offering overnight support as a trusted night nanny.
It was during these overnight roles that her interest in infant and child sleep truly began. Seeing first-hand the exhaustion and emotional strain families faced due to disrupted sleep, Emmerson felt called to help parents move from survival mode to a place of calm, settled nights, and steady sleep routines.
Now, a certified infant and toddler sleep consultant and the founder of Sway Sleep, Emmerson combines her years of hands-on childcare experience with evidence-based guidance to offer families a supportive and empowering approach to restorative sleep.
